My father, Peter Dowling, founded Dowling Ford in 1976 to serve Cheshire and the surrounding Connecticut communities. He built the dealership on simple values: honesty, kindness, personal service, and taking care of people.
Those values shaped our business and the relationships that have sustained it for generations.

When my father passed away in 2018, families shared stories of buying cars from him over decades. Their memories brought new meaning to the phrase “customers for life.” They spoke about the person they trusted, the way he treated them, and the relationships they built.
